Critique to the system pt. II
What we leave school NOT knowing how to do...

We leave school NOT knowing how to:
Train/get/stay in shape
Make money/get to financial freedom
Speak confidently and persuasively
Optimize our mental & physical health
And, we leave knowing (believeing) how:
Work is done for others and is boring
Learning is painful and punishable
We get paid and STFU
Time is to be wasted, not optimized
We can’t speak our minds, or else
Oh, but we leave knowing a lot of 15th-century poetry, how nice!
Shouldn’t it be the case that school teaches us the basis for living, subsisting in this world, so that we can begin to create when we’re out? Instead of being fed confusing information, and being traumatised with learning and obeying, having the passion for knowledge and out-of-the-norm thinking stripped away from us?
Do not confuse education with learning.
If our education works to prevent learning, it is indoctrination.
True education is an upwards-spiral of learning.
