Journaling manual
Journaling made easy
There is no secret to journaling. No technique, no format, no content restrcition.
It’s basically pouring all and any ideas you have into a single space (word doc, note book, whatever). The mind eventually learns that this a place of freedom, where creativity belongs.
Don’t restrict yourself to talking about emotions or personal problems. Don’t restrict yourself to work ideas. Not to silly things. Not to accounts of events.
No restrictions.
Just write everything, and maybe distribute it later if necessary. Allowing the mind a space to roam free is a game-changer.
If we put any restrictions, we are automatically putting a limit on what can be done, what can be thought. Discharge all your thoughts at once, into a single place. Everything else just becomes a matter of distribution afterwards.
At this point, it should be clear how beneficial journaling is.
Seeing your thoughts outside your mind lets you analyze as if they were not yours, to analyze them objectively. It also allows for ideas to be documented, to make sure they’re not forgotten.
By pouring ideas out, we make new space for other inside our minds.
