- Mediocre grades = great
Mediocre grades = great
Why doing 'okay' at school is the best.
The difference between the people who did great in high school and the ones that did okay is identically zero.
Geniuses aside, doing great does not signify anything, other than having adapted well to the system.
Of course, if you did horribly, it probably means that you have to train your intellect quite a bit.
But the difference between 'okay' students and straight A students is that the 'okay' ones had more free time and a better experience.
Grades unequal intelligece .
The effort required to get an elemntary understanding of a topic (a pass) = intelligence.
Plus, having got through it without major efforts means that the people on the middle of the grade spectrum tend to be the most intelligent.
Unless you wanted to enter a top-tier school later on, doing okay and just passing your classes would be the smart thing to do.
It makes room for extra activities and more productivity: social life, gym, independent studying, hobbies, sports, etc.
A clear example where less=more
