Science is dead

Societies advance when the smart people are allowed to do what they want. Science is the fundamental pillar of the modern world.

Yet there are no more scientists left.

In a world where bold ideas are suppressed, when equality committees are more important than pivotal discoveries, where efforts in fundamental science are not directed toward understanding the world, but winning prizes; in this world it is that we find ourselves.

When formalism becomes more important than truth, we go from doing science to bureaucracy.

Formal science is not science. It’s a redundant addition.

People who care enough about the truth will naturally seek to be precise in its statement, and to not fall into the traps of common sense.

Telling a scientist to be formal is like telling a poet to be poetic. Stop it.

There are uncountably many wasted geniuses in the world due to us being told that we’re all special and that there are many different types of intelligences. False. There is only one type of genius: bold ideas and exceptional abilities to express them.

If it weren’t for phones and style, how could we tell we’re not living in the 70’s? We couldn’t. There are no new energy-generation methods, basic computers already existed back then, all working physical theories were already complete; we have only been perfecting what we already had ever since.

Why?

Fundamental science, mostly physics, has been in a fatal rut since then, with mainstream efforts being directed toward ego-projects and frameworks that don’t work. Science has stopped being about understanding the world, and is now about getting a better position at a better university.

The harsh truth is that the world is stuck because fundamental science is stuck, and fundamental science is stuck due to mismanagement.

When great minds are suppressed by bureaucracy, mediocre ones promoted in the name of “we’re all special“, we pay for it.

As long as science is about positions of prestige, and not revolutionary, epoch-making ideas, the wolrd will be about BS internal fights, and not progress and leaping into the universe.
